Artists in France

ALAF organized last summer four successive exhibitions in a cultural space created by the association in a disused cork factory in Mézin in the Lot et Garonne. The first "Artforêt" fair sponsored by the United Nations, as well as by the Ministry of Culture as part of "the year of the forest" was joined by "Caravane Carbone Aquitaine", represented by the Art-Aquitaine association and the General Council of the Aquitaine Region also in partnership with ALAF. Thus from July 9 to 10 painting, sculpture, photos, digital art were exhibited. Jean-Pierre Boutin, the mayor of Mézin Christian Bataille, J Jean-Pierre Bugada official delegate of the United Nations and Christian Malaurie vice president of Art Aquitaine. We also noticed at this show, the photographer from New York, Blair Seagram and the artist Florine Auffrey from New Brunswick in Canada.

From July 23 to 1er August, in “Sculpture en 3D” we discovered works by the internationally known founding sculptor Abel Reis, Micelle Morgan, Jacques Charrier and Michel Henry having had the friendship to accompany the sculptures with their works. Japanese photographer Makiko Kumano, sculptor Adéline Thomas and sculptor Paul Ouellette both from New Brunswick in Canada have also exhibited.

The exhibition “Mexico meeting of two sculptures”

it took place from August 6 to 14, where works by Mexican artists were presented. This exhibition takes place within the framework of the twinning committee between the two cities Téquila (Mexico) and Martel (Lot). This association “Téquila-Martel” aims to be event-driven and promotes exchanges between French and Mexican artists. You can discover essential works, naive art, figurative and impressionism.

The last summer exhibition of the ALAF cultural center, “Meeting South East / South West” took place from August 20 to 29 and offered the public two lights and two different visions from the artists.

ALAF has won the bet in four exhibitions to interest a large number of public whether they are from Mézin or the surrounding area, Agen, Toulouse, Bordeaux or simply tourists passing through. The thousand visitors have been exceeded, thus underlining the great interest of a large renowned gallery in the golf of Saint-Tropez, which has become a partner of ALAF and exhibits Artists recommended by the association. You can see Gérard Le Gentil, Jacques Dournaud, Boss Boyer, Myriam Conte, Daluz, Sandra Land, Napias, Hennenberger. During the openings, music was in the spotlight to the delight of visitors.Jean Pierre Boutin

a sculpture fair. We discover works by the internationally known foundry sculptor Abel Reis. The Artist essentially works on the materialization of the absent body. The genius of the sculptor render a body absent from the lines, shapes, volumes, evoke back, body, gestures, attitudes, intentions and absolutely breathtaking feelings. These sculptures give an animation and a voice to the questions of those who contemplate them. The painter Michel Henri, also internationally known, kindly lent some works for the Mézinaise exhibition. There are also works by Michèle Morgan, Jacques Charrier and Makiko Kumano. The ALAF cultural center offers the Lot et Garonne public works of the highest level, by world-famous artists, but it is also moving towards works of excellent craftsmanship that are more easily accessible to collectors. The quality of the works presented to the public has made the reputation of the gallery and people now come from afar to contemplate these works.
