The echo of the press

The artists follow each other and do not look alike

After the organic paintings of Laure Poyet, the scars of slavery by Solo Bambara (sculptor), it is Calliope Spanou's paintings on the theme of "angelic expressions of the unconscious" that are presented to us in the art gallery. ALAF in Aspet until August 14.

Calliope Spanou was born, studied and worked in Athens. Although she has held very prestigious positions in the fields of education, research and politics, Doctor of State in political science (University of Picardie, Amiens), professor of administrative science at the University of Athens, elected by the Greek Parliament to assume the functions of Mediator (Ombudsman), Calliope Spanou now devotes herself entirely to painting. After participating in plastic arts seminars with renowned teachers, she managed to adapt art to her artistic and spiritual quest.

In his paintings Calliope Spanou writes his own theory of painting, with their bright colors and their irregular movements, they communicate with the spectator who can identify the project, they do not fail to provoke quest and investigation.
