“Land of Gold”

The idea of the project is the old utopian dream of humanity, where people, animals and nature can live together peacefully and happily. As this country can be anywhere and nowhere, the motifs are constructed from fantasy and reality, which can certainly be described as “architectural meditations”.

Steps  Elena Kiseleva-Arendt

I was born in the Soviet Union during the Cold War, a time when we learned about other countries and peoples only through television and newspapers. During my studies at art school, I developed a love for the art of ancient Greece and Rome, the Renaissance. The world of art from China and Japan, the Incas and the Aztecs, medieval Europe, and Russia opened up to me. For me, it is an enchanting world that inspires my own creativity. I immerse myself in the history of art as in a wonderful and ideal world, looking at the world around me through the works of the old masters. It becomes particularly vivid, attractive, and wonderful. I engage in a dialogue with artists of the past by quoting and reinterpreting their paintings, as well as bringing a new interpretation to traditional subjects from the Bible, classical literature, music, and the myths of ancient Greece. Currently, I live in Germany, working as an artist and teaching art to German, Ukrainian, and Russian children. I try to impart to them my love for beauty, a love that unites all peoples on Earth.
