A “new generation” art gallery has opened its doors in Saint-Béat, place Victor Cazes. In the very heart of the village, the art already very present, invites itself more widely by welcoming works of artists from all over France. Pierre, his artist's name, has given new life to the premises formerly occupied by a second-hand dealer, by creating a cultural space where paintings and sculptures by artists of all kinds are exhibited and put up for sale. ALAF is an association of all artists. Through cultural projects, events, workshops and exhibitions, it offers artists the opportunity and the tools to exchange, improve, shine..., and promotes exchanges through the different cultural expressions... "Our goal is to help artists but also to make art available to everyone, and at all prices…. says Pierre, who therefore has a studio fund in Saint-Béat and is already thinking about the idea of creating an event around photography next summer, by joining the marble festival... With the he idea too, to enliven the streets with painters and sculptors….

The gallery is open Tuesday to Sunday from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Nearly five months after its opening last August, the art gallery of the ALAF association in Saint-Béat is leaving the premises occupied until then on Place Victor-Cases. A regret for Pierre, artist and organizer in this

gallery which has paintings and sculptors by around fifty artists from all over France.

“The owner of the premises wishes to recover this premises. So I have no choice, says Pierre, who saw the future in full color for this gallery regularly visited and appreciated by Saint-Béatais, especially as it harmonized rather well with the media library and the association hall located nearby. . "It represented a beautiful cultural complex" underlines the latter who had struggled to develop this place of exhibition and sale with taste and saw far ahead. "Saint-Béat is a city of art where I was well received and where I hope to continue the work undertaken, for the association, the artists, people from here and passing through," he adds.

Today, Pierre does not really know where he will "land" even if he has some leads. Nothing has been decided yet, but he will stick to finding a place likely to house the works that have been entrusted to him, and to eventually launch some projects that are close to his heart.
